Bitter Guard M.A. Wahab Criticism usually is bitter and unwanted but bitter guard (one kind of kitchen vegetable) is good for health. Self criticism is much more constructive for edification and enlightenment of our own manners (2 Tim 3:16-17). Right from the deviation of Adam, the first man, all the rectification movements to alleviate them at its former and proper position, are being conducting by the sufferers tirelessly. But it is a matter of regret that all attempts, mercilessly, went in vain. It is like replacing infected blood by that of polluted ones of another person, result was revealed just bad to worse. In the mean time medical group could earn two pies. Those who profess any doctrine or ideology are to be called professors and they should be given respect as teachers. The institute is also called academy. The students gain academic knowledge in the subjects they do study in. Of course education is essential. All the prophets as well as the professors have been playing vital role to educate students/people/pupil that afterward they would lead the society on to the right path to establish peace and harmony in all societies in fostering humanity at large. Academic knowledge is the first hand knowledge towards implementation in life changing process. This idea could be applied in the field of religions and its application. In the glorious Gospel recorded by Apostle John chapter 15 and verse 3, Jesus Christ has emphasized on the point of application and abiding in the Words practically. It could be clarified more wide and deeply that when we submit our lives, along with all of our desires with confidence and staunch faith, to the will of God, in that case He gives us new sense and view to behave as He does. It means abiding in Him is being changed into His likeness. A student must cover the specified course in a given time and then he is given any specific responsibility to shoulder. During his schooling he does grow and get suitable to handle the task. Those who are converted to Christ Jesus are already transformed to be strong, responsible dazzling lights of the world to shine all around (Mt 5: 13-14). Any candle remains intact, unless it receives fire. Just with ignition it starts melting away and shining up all around. So long it does not receive fire or get ignited, that would be shame for it, because the effectiveness of a candle is to be burn, melt away and shine up all around. As in case of salt, it must be dissolved into dish to make it tasteful, edible and acceptable. Instead of being academic learners we should pray and deplore to our merciful Lord to be transformed into His likeness and become obedient and successful witnesses before the society suffering and groping in darkness. We must not entitle people by such an identity that would differentiate them from one another. All have sinned and fallen short of God, so all are sinners, and it should be their personality until and unless they are not redeemed at the cost of the blood of our unblemished Lord Jesus Christ the unique sinless one (2 Corinthians. 5:17)
