Bitter-sweet set of shows for us this past weekend. As most of you know - this was Garys last weekend with the band. Its been an incredible ride with him and he has been such an amazing person to work with over the past 30+ years. We basically grew up together on that stage and it was VERY difficult to see it come to an end. My personal thanks to Garys wife, Ilene for always supporting him and letting us have him every weekend. Hes been a true professional and friend to us from the minute he walked in the door for his audition, to his last note of Rosalita on stage Sunday night. He will sincerely be missed by all of us and we wish him nothing but the absolute best in NC. As for the rest of the MSB....well, were taking a summer break here over the next two weekends so we can all get some family time in. Well be back with a ton of shows starting the last weekend of August with Boulders Stadium on Fri Aug 29th, Palaia Winery on Sat Aug 30th, then two shows on Aug 31st - New City Street Fair at lunchtime - and then the big annual Peter Greene Memorial Concert at Bowline Park that evening. Ill get everything posted over the next few weeks. In the meantime - big, big thank you to everyone who came to all the shows this past week, and for all the support you guys continue to give the band.
