I know Im not going to be a bitter old man.- Micheal Jordan When we are frustrated, everyone else in our family bears the brunt of it. If we do not address that frustration in a positive way, then our frustration builds, turning to bitterness. Yes as parents, we have our obligations. Sometimes we compromise for the sake of our childrens security, but that should be seen as a positive choice we make. Lets ask ourselves: How do we want to live our lives? The images we come up with have to be more than pipe dreams. Are we working toward these goals? We may not be exactly where our mental timetable says we should be, but we cannot permit frustration to make us lose hope. On this day, I will examine life to see if I am making time for the goals and dreams that are significant to me. If not, I pledge to map out a plan to do so.
