Black CHURCH folk are the only ppl that I know that criticize someone elses expression of praise to God through music. Every one has a preference! Just like R&B has sub-genres, its just the same in gospel or Christian music. Slow tunes may not draw the next person into worship, but gospel rap may do that. CCM may not draw a person into worship like heavy metal Christian. Its all about what effects the heart and triggers the spirit into worship. Where black CHURCH ppl get it confused is thinking that a certain type of music is represented as worship or praise. So you mean to tell me God is limited by what he uses to produce the presence that is the Holy Spirit? Please get off your holy than thou high horse. David felt so compelled by the spirit of God that he danced out of his clothes. Enoch became so engulfed in the presence of God that he was caught up in instant transmission. Are you gonna say thats not of God? Are you gonna say that the ghost isnt in that? Just because someone doesnt reach the presence the same way you do doesnt make them unholy or not connected to God. For those that say that limit God in all aspects and you dont believe the God you speak and teach about. Its all about preference and what gets you into his presence. Religion is a relationship killer!
