Blackpool airport closing? thats convenient for its owners who want to build on the land but originally had planning permission declined?? well now its a disused airfield they will leave it a few years derelict (costing nothing) and re-apply? this is crazy for so many reasons and should not be allowed as its robbing the area of transport hub that could be used so much more! and its the owners Balfour beatty that has made sure its under used and non profitable! a simple google search shows how they made Ryan air pull out of its blackpool operations! and the £10 development charge where did the development cash go? theres no reason why Blackpool airport could not be as busy as Liverpool airport if it was managed correctly its very sad that the government allow BIG businesses to manipulate this countries transport resources to their financial gain!
