Blasphemy charges have become a convenient and popular excuse to persecute people who are seen as a threat to the long-standing Saudi oppression of its citizens. Read up on Raif case and what happened to his lawyer to see how this has nothing to do with insulting Islam but everything to do with the draconian, autocratic, anti-democratic regime in SA trying to hold on to power no matter what extreme lengths it has to go to in order to do so. In SA, I could be labelled a blasphemer based on this comment alone. Lolz.
