: Blood Donation and Organ Donation Pledge Till 2014, I already donated blood for 20 times. Still remembered my first time donated blood at the age of 19 in year 2005 Oct, in Chung Ling High School, I fainted ! A few people lifted me up from the floor to a bed to lay down and had a rest. However, that didnt stop me to continue donating blood. Year 2014, marked my blood donation for the 21st times and be the first time go for platelet and plasma apheresis donation which I need to sit there for around an hour for the machine (as pic below) to draw out my blood and extract the plasma and platelets and return other blood components back to my body. With that, I am able to donate every 3 week. I plan to donate every month at the first Saturday where the Penang General Hospital Blood Bank operate for half day. Besides, I also filled up the card again to pledge for organ donation if one day I leave the world with my organ still in good shape, someone will able to use it. So anyone want to join me to be regular BLOOD DONOR and/or pledge to be a ORGAN DONOR? My next visit to Blood bank will be on 3 January 2015 (Sat) around 8.30am. Come join me together to give others an opportunity to live.
