Bloomberg is intent on undoing the achievements of his first two terms as Mayor. He continues to make incredibly inappropriate remarks about racial profiling. Even when the City Council RATIONALLY agreed to appoint an Inspector General over the NYPD (a very good idea given the corruption and excessive force alone), and to allow taxpayers to file complaints of racial profiling, Bloomy has threatened to Veto the Bill. His defense is that African Amerians commit 90% of all crimes, a number that I absolutely do not believe. Ray Kelly used to be a reasonable guy but apparently pal-ing around with BB has made him just as tone deaf. You just have to watch the videos to see how bigoted some of these cops are and how mistreated the Minorities are. Kellly has a huge budget, high technology, and acccess to experts. But we have to settle for a solution that is clearly racist. Go figure.
