Kissore...Kissore...jab bhi main khet dekhta hoon…Dil karta hai... ...Main khub daudoon...Chal tu bhi daud mere saath!…..read this...!!! Kishore Kumar unwinds the glorious memories of his mentor and the Legendary Composer Sachin Dev Burman....!!! Many a times..when I would go for recordings in the morning…recollects Kishore Kumar about his mentor...and the Legendary Composer Sachin Dev Burman…Sachin Da would happen to pass by the same route...The moment he would catch the sight of me...he would stop the car and make me halt mine too...The traffic would jam up...horns would screech..drivers would get engaged into fights…but Sachin Da would never pave way for anybody...He would be engrossed in his own...He would come to my car and say..Kissore…Kissore…chal utar apni gaadi se..aur meri gaadi mein baith...I would say..Sachin Da....Main jara jaldi mein hoon…Mujhe pehle kisi ki rehearsal pe jaana hai…He would not pay any heed to my request and say…Chal chal...Jaane de woh sab..Dekh aaj mausam kitna achhaa hai.. Hum thoda ghum ke aate hai!...His command was always obeyed by me as he loved me so much..I had to agree to it and sit with him in his car. Once accidentally when we met..he did the same and this time he took me along with him...Ha..Ha..not too far...just 60 miles away from the city...and near some lush green fields...he stopped his car....He called me out of the car....and to my surprise he knotted his ‘dhoti’ into his ‘kurta’s pocket and turned to me and said..Kissore…Kissore jab bhi main khet dekhta hoon.. ..Dil karta hai...Main khub daudoon…Chal tu bhi daud mere saath!...I ran and ran..and kept running behind him..Then all of a sudden he came to a halt and said..Kissore…Ab tu mere saath gaana gaa....I was still panting.. I asked him which song Dada?..He said...Arey...wohi re..Dheere se jaana bagiyan mein re bhanwra...Ho re lala dhing lala ho re lala.....Chal chal gaa jaldi se!...He made me sing it...and only when he was satisfied he allowed me to proceed for my recordings!.....It was sometimes difficult to cope up with his moods and mentality...as it would be so tough..to decide between a matured and melodious composer and this innocent childlike man.It was just switch on and switch off.He never felt anything weird about it...It came very naturally to him...and so he was…the most natural…the phenomenal the most melodious and yet the most unpredictable…as always…The one and only Sachin Da!....Yes indeed!...The one and only Sachin Da as very correctly Kishore Da sums it up for the fans...and the listeners...Creativity has just no bounds...May it be in the behaviour patterns or be the creation pattern...As much a man is creative...that much he is away from the glare of the worldly pretentions...From the heart he always stays as an free-willy and self-made person...and such people set trends...they never follow any paths...they set trends...and paths for people to follow....They truly are the real trendsetters...Always to be followed by all and many...!!!
