Books have been written and dozens of interviews granted collaborating the fact that Shagari knew Buhari was planning a coup but instead did nothing because according to him, both himself and Buhari are Fulani and he was happy for another Fulani to take over than non-Fulani. Here in this interview is Lawal Kaita, the man who has been shouting about the born-to-rule idea or else there would be war in Nigeria if Buhari is not elected. Read him below: How did you feel on December 31, 1983 when you heard that the Shagari administration of which you were a part had been sacked by the military? No, it wasn’t so much a surprise. We knew it was coming. How? We had information. Shagari informed me that there is the possibility of a coup taking place. At that time, he was living in Lagos and he travelled to Abuja, which was one of the plans to truncate the coup. So, he came to Abuja because in Lagos there was nowhere to escape; but in Abuja there were so many ways to escape. In spite of that, the coup still took place. He was in Abuja when the coup took place. He left Abuja by road to Nasarawa. But if he were in Lagos, he could have been arrested. (Laughter) That was part of the drama to show you that he had information about the coup. He told me before that time to get ready because something might happen. -Lawal Kaita. To the gullible Yoruba Youths: Fulani are foreigners in Nigeria. They are not part of the indigenous peoples of Nigeria. They are behind Boko Haram and Buhari, a Fulani is their preferred candidate. Next month is the time to send out the blood sucking Fulani away from Yorubaland. #VoteJonathan
