Bought this truck from a guy who caught it on fire trying to do a head gasket on it. He put the fire out by pouring oil on it. He had 4 different fuel leaks and despite some mildly melted wiring it wouldnt start. Today I tore into it determined to get it running. I was absolutely shocked this guy even tried to work on this cause every step of the tear down (took off intake, fuel rail, and valve cover to fix issues) I found something else rigged or poorly assembled. Between not even hand tight bolts, to vacuum lines torn or missing, to cross threaded fuel line bolts and torn o-rings I had probably a dozen different issues I found. I finally got it put back together and she fired up. It was then I realized the head gasket leaks oil like crazy and is still dumping coolant into my exhaust. Im all for learning how to do stuff but this guy was an idiot! I guess its time for a full blown rebuild...
