Boycott SEA WORLD! SeaWorld -- the American company that makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year by torturing orca whales for human amusement -- is going global. Last week, SeaWorlds CEO said on a conference call with investors that they were already working with partners to open additional parks around the world. We cant let SeaWorld export their barbaric mistreatment of animals around the world. SumOfUs is launching an international effort to expose the truth about SeaWorlds animal abuse by driving mobile billboards in front of existing SeaWorld locations and using social media to spread the word in the countries SeaWorld targets for expansion. If people know how badly SeaWorld mistreats its animals, theyre not going to want to spend $80 a person to see those animals do tricks. And if consumers reject SeaWorld, then their plans to expand will fail. SeaWorld is already under attack in the U.S. for violating animal abuse laws and for worker safety violations. And the anti-SeaWorld backlash really took off after the release of the documentary film Blackfish. The film tells the story of the orca Tilly, who was taken from the wild at two years old, punished and deprived of food to train him to do tricks, and locked in a 20-by-30 foot dark metal container for two-thirds of his life. Tillys mistreatment has led to the deaths of 3 people since 1991, but he continues to be used to entertain audiences. We can stop SeaWorlds international expansion if we make sure parents and kids around the world understand that its cruel and wrong to force intelligent, sensitive animals used to swimming hundreds of miles a day to live in cages and be starved and punished for human entertainment. :( Please Share & Post and be their Voices
