Brad Doty in the #6 car running the Firestone tires we ran back then. The Firestones were actually Drag tires and had the sharp edges at the top of the side walls and the tires came as slicks and we grooved the tires ourselves for the most part. It was brought to my attention last night that on track with heavy mud the sharp edges would cut strips of dirt out of the surface and would sometimes throw the strips into the stands. I know we would get hit in the car with those strips until they went to the round edge Goodyears
