Zack Benfield- Cloudland: This senior rb ran for 207 yards...on 6 carries, 180 of it in the first half in their 47-0 victory over Unaka. Mikey White- Science Hill: He’s another senior who is a wr/db who had 12 tackles and a pick on defense while contributing 5 catches for 52 yards and a td on offense. Knoxville: Knoxville News Sentinel Matt Fox, Anderson County: The senior running back carried just 10 times for 223 yards and scored on runs of 48, 6 and 65 yards. Griffin DeLong, Bearden: The senior linebacker made 18 solo tackles, had six assisted tackles, one sack, a tackle for loss, forced a fumble and broke up one pass. Parker McKinney, Coalfield: The freshman quarterback completed 14 of 17 passes for 303 yards and five touchdowns. He had four carries for 94 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt 32 yards for a score. Chattanooga: Ward Gossett- Times Free Press Dakota Ricker, Meigs County: The senior ran 12 yards for one score, got another TD on a pass reception and then added two more scores on interception return as he and the Tigers upended Rockwood 42-14 in a key District 3-A game. Corbin Fitzgerald, South Pittsburg: He scored three TDs, one on a 22-yard run, one on a 62-yard punt return and another on a 12-yard pass as the Pirates rallied to best Whitwell 29-28. DeKarlos Billingsley, Scottsboro: He ran 30 times for 199 yards and three TDs in the Wildcats 24-17 region victory over Huntsville Lee. Nashville: Maurice Patton Cole Euverard, QB, MBA – 9-of-15, 160 yards, TD; 15 carries, 181 yards, four TDs in 52-44 win at Brentwood Academy. Quin Jernighan, WR, LaVergne – eight catches, 163 yards, two TDs in 42-15 loss at Riverdale. Jeremiah Oatsvall, QB, Brentwood Acad. – 17-of-24, 307 yards, four TDs; 15 carries, 91 yards in 52-44 loss to MBA. Cameron Turner, RB, Hendersonville – six carries, 194 yards, two TDs in 56-14 win over Gallatin. Auston Vanzant, RB, Beech – 10 carries, 201 yards, four TDs in 70-15 win over Portland. Far West: Mike Hutchens- NWTN Today Kyle Akin — QB, Trinity Christian Academy. Completed 10-of-14 passes for 292 yards and six TDs in No. 1 ranked (2A) Lions 49-28 win over Scotts Hill Jake Siler — QB Gibson County. Ran for 146 yards and a TD and threw for 100 and another score as the Pioneers won for the first time, 42-26 over Halls. Memphis: Keith Gentry- Jared Schmidt, senior, QB, Houston High School carried 9 times for 94 yards and 3 TDs and completed 8 of 17 passes for 140 yards and 1 TD, and punted 3 times for a 42.7 average in the Mustangs 46-21 win over Germantown. Patrick Macon, senior, LB, Millington Central High School made five tackles (including one for loss) and intercepted two passes for 40 yards and a TD in the Trojans 30-6 win over Bartlett. Torrey Mabone, senior, DE, Trezevant High School made 5 sacks, recovered a fumble, broke up a pass and led a defense that allowed minus 43 yards rushing in the Bears 42-6 win over Southwind. Chase Hayden, sophomore, RB, St. Georges carried 3 times for 128 yards and 2 TDs and returned a kickoff 85 yards for a TD in the Gryphons 48-2 win over Rossville. His father is Aaron Hayden who played for the San Diego Chargers, the Green Bay Packers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. This weeks Tennessee Pacesetter is Johnny Jones — RB, Crockett County. Became the first rural West Tennessee running back to eclipse 1,000 yards this season by gaining 178 yards in CCs 35-21 victory over previously-unbeaten Dyersburg. Jones scored three TDs and is now a three-time 1,000-yard rusher.
