Brazilian Fabio Zanon is well named - he delivered a fabulous guitar recital at the Coronation Hall with a first half of classical excellence courtesy of J.S. Bach, Alexandre Tansman and Manuel Maria Ponce, and a second half that toured Latin America taking in Cuba, Paraguay, Colombia and Venezuela. It is a rare treat to see a classical guitarist of his sheer class - a man so dedicated to his music that he passed up seats at the opening game of the World Cup to play in Ulverston.
