Break up your Fallow ground. The Plowman would ask; what is your fallow ground? Fallow ground is ground that has been plowed, but has been left unseeded. I originally thought that it was hard, unplowed land that was hard and packed down, useless for planting seed, but I was wrong. Plowed and left unseeded, as in the summer fallow, not active, not productive and unstimulated. Is that you? Has the Lord replaced your heart of stone and replaced it with a heart of flesh? Has He plowed your worthless fields and made them ready for production? Both in Jeremiah and Hosea, the term, break up the fallow ground are used. Do the furrows of your heart lie nicely plowed in perfect rows and just left to harden in the summer sun as the weeds slowly start to take back the land and it becomes hard and unuseful, needing fresh plowing? Break it up, prepare the soil, and prepare your heart. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. Return to your first love and seek God in the Spirit and in the Word. Ask that the Lord Jesus sow fresh seed in your fields so that for the kingdom, you may be a blessing to our great God. Break up the fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Til He comes and rains Righteousness on you. Hosea 10:12 Chevy 07/2013
