Breaking: Flagstaff Police Department has released the descriptions of two men wanted in the armed robbery of a jewelry store on Fourth Street. Both suspects are African American males. One is between 6 feet, 2 inches and 6 feet, 3 inches tall. The other is between 5 feet, 9 and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. One has braided hair, although police have not been able to say whether it is the tall suspect of the short suspect. Police believe both men have changed their clothing and are now wearing white T-shirts. At least one of the suspects is believed to be armed with a handgun. Both men are suspected of robbing Jim Anderson Jewelers, located at 2300 N. Fourth St., around 11:15 a.m. today. They were last seen heading into the wooded area at the upper end of North Fourth Street. We have a large presence in the area right now, said FPD Deputy Chief Walt Miller. City and county officers are conducting an extensive ground search of the trail system at the base of Mount Elden. A Ranger helicopter from Kingman has also been called in to assist with the search from the air. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. The Police Department is urging Flagstaff residents who see anyone matching the description of the suspects to call 911 immediately and not approach them.
