Breaking it down for you Obama and his team spent 9 months crafting and honing the weasel worded executive orders and his speech, during that time they strategically divided illegals across the nation making it hard, (not impossible) to find them and deport them. This has been in the works for a long time folks nothing he does is knee jerk and the deliberately waited till this time to announce their news to hammer Republicans with it hoping to do two things, 1. ) Cause an uproar among the undecideds and the democratic base against the Republicans for a hoped for knee jerk reaction 2.) Cause a rift in the Republican party creating a paralysis of action. The response of the Republicans needs to be swift, certain and punishing to Obama and his administration. The things they need to do are simple but effective and should be done in order... Now till the end of the old session of congress: 1.) Delay any nominees 2.) Press hard on current investigations 3.) Reduce or defund any bills, no comprehensive spending bills at all. After the new congress is seated: 1.) Immediately declare the presidents executive orders unconstitutional. 2.) Slash funding for any implementation of the E.O. 3.) Rewrite the immigration laws and forward them to Obama. 4.) Pass spending bills with waivers attached defunding Obamas actions 5.) Eliminate all Czars and cut all funding for them and their support. 6.) Slash funding for the IRS, EPA, DOE, Dept. of Energy and other agencies. 7.) Slash the White House budget to the bone, cut staffs in half at least and slash vacation budgets as well. 8.) Slash budgets for use of air force one, limit it to emergency use only. 9.) Slash all funding for Obamacare and its continued operation. 10.) Secure the border, use the border as training for new U.S. Military troops for a 4 month deployment then revolve them out. 11.) Push all investigations into Obama and his cronies operations and dig out the dirt by placing people into contempt of congress till they talk. 12.) When you have irrefutable evidence impeach Obama.
