Breathing Lessons by Cyncere Neconish. I grasp with each intake, this atmosphere seems to lack oxygen without you and my heart is in duress from the moment you left. The heart strings you once plucked now become the sutures to amend the puncture wounds and my vains become the stream beds for the pain deep inside. My eyes gather with moisture, I close them tightly to dam the flow yet the tears seep out and for a minute I think I am drowning. I struggle with labored breaths, as if I am asthmatic to losing you, astonished and dumbfounded at how weve deteriorated, although I know the strongest of elements must face the fact of erosion. Still I gasp in our aftermath, l believed we had longevity, key traits to last a lifetime or two, now I face these days alone, lonesome for another breath, I wish so much for you to come give me breathing lessons!
