Brent with help from a couple friends had a great 3 days at the Micro Finance Trade show at the Sea Front last week. Many people were very surprised that pottery was being made in Vanuatu and more so the quality that Brent was producing. All money made from sales has gone back into buying more glazing products and some towards his new teaching pottery studio that he wants to build. Henry, who now runs Wan Smol Bag pottery studio, came to help Brent out on Friday and both Brent and Henry gave demonstration of throwing pots on the wheel and talked to a vast number of people about how they both started pottery and Brent explained what he wants to achieve in the future. Brent has started to use some local clay making only Kava bowls at present, which sold out very quickly. He has now a couple of outlets in Port Vila that are selling his products. ttached are some photos from the Trade Show. UPDATE ON NEW STUDIO FUNDS: so far we have raise close to 700,000vt (A$ 7,000) but still requiring another 1,400,000 (A$ 14,000).
