Theme: Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Brethren we have been looking into the Theme Walking with God. Today we want to look at it from the perspective of the Kingdom of God. This is in continuation of our study last Sunday. God bless you as you read. Gen 5:22 -24, Heb_11:5 One thing that made Enoch stood out was that he had a deeper level of communion with God. He partnered with God and sought after what God wanted. Walking with God is the same as seeking after God. He translated his faith into action. Heb_11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. So that leads us to what should we seek after? The scriptures answers this clearly Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Heb_13:14, Col_3:1, Mat_6:10 What then is the Kingdom Of God? Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Rom 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 1Co_6:9, 1Co_6:10. Righteousness: This is standing right with God. Standing where God stands. It means working and doing what is right. Enoch indeed was a man that sought righteousness. Gen_15:6, Psa 15:1 – 5, Peace: Peace is a sign of agreement. Little wonder nations of the world today are seeking peace with their neighbors. It is for the reason we have several treaty and agreements in place to guarantee place. For us as Christians we get Peace only when we are in agreement with God. Remember when you do something when you are young and you try to run away! Job 22:21-30 Joy in the Holy Ghost: Joy is an important element of every life. Once joy is lost, the rhythm of life is lost. Joy is however not happiness as Happiness is connected to circumstances. Hab 3:17- 19 Rom 15:13
