Brian Pillman 5/22/1962 - 10/5/1997 I cant believe its been 17 years ago today that the world lost one of the greats in professional wrestling, Brian Pillman. When he was known as Flyin Brian, or when he was a Hollywood Blonde, or when he was the Renegade Horseman, or at the end when he was the Loose Cannon, Brian was always at the top of his game and and one of the most entertaining wrestlers in the business. Brian was the first ever WCW World Light Heavyweight Champion and the only man to hold that title twice. Brian teamed with a variety of partners in his career. He was NWA United States Tagteam champions with Tom Z-Man Zenk. He teamed with the legendary Barry Windham. And the most well known Partnership of course was as the Hollywood Blondes with Stunning Steve Austin as the were the NWA/WCW Unified World Tagteam Champions. Later on Brian was chosen by Arn Anderson and Ric Flair to help resurrect the 4 Horsemen. Later on they brought in Chris Benoit to complete the 4. Brian and Chris teamed up here and there. Brian then made his way to ECW before making his way to the WWF where he eventually became part of the Hart Foundation. Brians last feud in the WWF and his career was with Goldust and his wife Marlena. On October 5, 1997 Brian Pillman was foud dead in his hotel room in Bloomington, MN. He was only 35 years old. Autopsy found that an earlier previously undetected heart condition, arteriosclerotic heart disease, had lead to his death. Brian was amazing in the ring, on the mic, and at everything else that he did. No doubt in my mind, Brian Pillman would have been a World Champion and a #1 man in professional wrestling if it wasnt for his untimely death. Thank You Brian Pillman For All The Great Memories! Gone But Never Forgotten. Forever Loved, Missed, and In Our Hearts.
