Brilliant news today as Cardiffs Labour Council categorically confirm plans to go ahead for new STAR leisure hub and swimming pool in Splott Park! As a local Labour team of past and present Labour Councillors - Luke Holland, Gretta Marshall, Huw Thomas and Ed Stubbs, myself and Vaughan Gething AM we have worked very hard for months behind the scenes to make this happen -despite the challenges in Cardiffs budget and years of Lib Dem underinvestment in our leisure services - and we are delighted Cllr Bradbury and his team have listened to us and the strong community campaign - and worked to deliver this solution. I particularly want to thank all the local people who have campaigned so hard on this crucial issue for our area. I am confident in due course it will be a facility we can all be proud of at the heart of our community.
