Brooklyn pie-lovers, heads up, the Gowanus WFM has 9 strawberry-rhubarb pies for $8 apiece. WFM 9 pie weighs about 2.5X what the same size pie at Foodtown weighs, and it aint all crust. This is chunky like a good diner pie. BK WFM also has curated rare seasonings by which they mean fairly interesting flavored vinegars and such. I wont tell you the price of those. Anyone who buys curated food -- even WFM doesnt try this outside Brooklyn -- deserves to go broke. But (organic) bread, eggs, milk, juice, apples, cheese, tea... are all at least as cheap as Park Slope Food Coop and frankly better selection and quality. Economies of scale. Okay, bye now. I have pie to eat.
