Yorki melezi vb değil altta okyunuz ;) Moskovsky Drakon Country of Origin: Russia Breed Status: The Moskovsky Drakon is purebred and despite being recognized in its homeland of Russia, extremely limited in numbers with only around an estimated 100 members of the breed at the time of this writing. Distribution: At the moment the Moskovsky Drakon is limited to various cities in Russia, although potential owners from several other countries in Europe and North America have made inquiries about them. Etymology: The name Moskovsky Drakon is Russian for Moscow Dragon. The Moscow part of its name comes from the city where systematic breeding of it first took place. The dragon part of the name is said to come from its courage and because the hair on the breeds back looks like the ridge of a dragon. Other Names: Moscow Dragon Breed History: Most reports say that the Moskovsky Drakon was only begun as a breed during the late 1980s and early 1990s, this is true but only to a point. The Moskovsky Drakon existed long before this time within the general stray population of Russia. The possibility exists that the breed comes from the same stock as the Deutscher Pinscher, Praskı Krysařík, and related breeds, but this has never been proven. The breed existed in relative obscurity until the early 1990s when a dog breeder from Moscow, Zoya Kostyna found one. Liking the looks of this dog, Kostyna searched and found others. It is through her work and the work of those that helped her that the Moskovsky Drakon has been standardized and gaining in both recognition and numbers. The first Moskovsky Drakon show took place in 1998, but it wasn’t until 2000 that the first national breed club was formed. Appearance: The Moskovsky Drakon is a small breed. The breed standard does not specify a height range but the weight ranges from 3 to 10 lbs (1.5 to 4.5 kg). The skull is slightly rounded and narrow between the ears. The stop is clearly defined. The eyes are oval and wide-set. Eye color may be either dark or corresponding to the main body color. The ears may be semi-prick, but prick ears are preferred. The neck is long and high-set. The body is compact. The chest is fairly deep. The feet are small and close. The tail may be either curled, semi-curled, or sickle. The Moskovsky Drakon’s most distinct feature is its coat, and although three coats types exist (short wirehaired, medium wirehaired, and longhaired), all share the same features. These features include a ridge of longer, rougher hair along the spine and on the legs, a crest of hair on the top of the head, a beard, moustache, and long eyebrows. The hair on the rest of the body is always shorter. The Moskovsky Drakon is allowed to occur in any color. Personality and Uses: The Moskovsky Drakon is used entirely as a companion, but as a whole, every member of the breed has its own individual personality. The Moskovsky Drakon is quite intelligent and easily trained. The breed is very devoted to its family but may be cautious around strangers. Some members of the breed may think of themselves as big dogs in a little body, making them willing to take on other dogs regardless of size.
