Build and Take Home a 3D Printer Workshop x by The Lankford Group and Aerial Vista Labs Want to learn 3D printing but don’t want to worry about the steep learning curve? 3D printing is perfect for students, hobbyists, inventors and professionals. It is also a great tool for homestead, off-grid and preparedness living. It can be used to make repairs to broken items, make useful storage solutions, tools, irrigation and greenhouse materials, or just about anything you can imagine or need. You can say made at home and less made in China. We are offering a workshop to build, calibrate, and test a printer that you will be able to take home and begin successful prints right away. We teach you to build your own 3D Printer and how to use the software to operate the printer, to design 3D files, and how to turn them into machine code, in a 3 day workshop. In addition, the Instructor printer build will be donated to a local school. So you get to build your own 3D printer, learn how to use it successfully, and get to help inspire the next generation of engineers and inventors. It is pertinent that registration is complete by Jan 15th so that we are able to source all the materials in time for the class. Because of the nature of the class and the specialty items ordered there is a 25% of the registration is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation the cancellation policy and schedule are as follows. Jan 15, 2015 – Feb 15, 2015 25% non-refundable or you are able to transfer to another person in your place or change to a later available class opening in the same calendar year. Feb 15, 2015 –Feb 25, 2015 100% non-refundable, transferable to another person in your place, or change to a later available class opening in the same calendar year. Feb 26, 2015 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, no change to a later class. Class sizes are limited to five machines so that everyone is able to get quality, hands-on instruction. However, we do make it available if a participant would like to have a second person learning the course work that we have provided registration for their course materials, meals and snacks. In the event that we have more than five registrations we will schedule another class April 17-19 2015, and start a waiting list. The instructor will build a 10x10x10 machine as the teaching tool for participants. This machine will be donated to an area school with a day long installation and instruction for staff and continuing support from The Lankford Group and Aerial Vista Labs.
