Primary Objective: Responsible for supporting ongoing store planning, execution and evaluation in order to ensure maximum sales and profit opportunities, effective cost control, efficient utilization of labor and strong customer service levels. Position is key to meeting or exceeding store profit and labor goals, and ensuring consistent quality product is delivered. This position also trains employees, supports their development, provides work direction and motivates all team members to achieve store goals. Necessary Skills & Qualifications: •Experience in retail management including significant experience in store operations from perishables to center store. •Interpersonal Skills – demonstrated success in the areas of leadership, judgment, energy, effective communications, problem solving. •Process Skills – demonstrated understanding of all key operational and merchandising functions of the store. •Product Knowledge – general knowledge of all and deeper knowledge of many products in all store departments. •Analytical Skills – Skilled at reviewing and interpreting a financial statement. Demonstrates ability to identify problem or opportunity areas and establish action plans for improvement. •College degree required. •Must have the ability to work late afternoons, nights and weekends.
