Bunge Updates... House Resumes after Recess... Budget Report National Assembly has been on the May recess used to process the budget estimates a task that was completed by the Budget Committee today and the report will be tabled tomorrow. The Committee did its best to ensure adequate funding for critical areas especially Security, Education, Agriculture, Roads/Infrastructure etc The Committee agreed to adjust budgets for some lowly funded areas EG Mara Road, Dams, Kenya Law Reform Commission, Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, Gender Commission, National Land Commission, National Youth Council, Judges Vetting Board, Ombudsman, CIC, Embassies in Kampala, Doha and Dubai... Please follow debate on the Budget Report on Thursday. The Budget will be read on 12th June 2014 together with other East African Countries. I am am still hoping and there is effort to get funding for Level V Hospitals, its just sad that though healthcare has good interventions including leasing of equipment for 2 hospitals in every county, the level V hospitals Nyeri PGH included are yet to get an allocation. All the 11 Level V Regional hospitals had Kshs. 3.4 billion earmarked for them. We need to get this funds factored in, Nyeri PGH will suffer if we dont get the funds. Next year Budget Committee will monitor projects funded. Kenyans must get value for money through development and service delivery....
