Burundi Peaceworker Quaker Peace & Social Witness has an exciting new opening for a peaceworker to be placed in Burundi from September 2013 for one year. The peaceworker will be based with Search for Common Ground (SFCG) – Burundi, and you will spend the year supporting and raising the visibility SFCG’s past and current peacebuilding work including their programmes with journalists and the media, developing women’s leadership and mobilizing youth for peaceful elections. This post is open to anyone committed to the values of the Religious Society of Friends. You must be adaptable, creative, culturally sensitive, a French-speaker and able to work as part of a small team and on your own initiative. Transferable skills in oral and written communication are essential, as is a desire to develop your experience in the field of peace and conflict transformation.
