Busy with the last of 4 commissions for Amanda.....As you can see on the photo.....the painting Im working on, must resemble Senegal in some way...They are a very dry area....yellow grasses... Acacia thorn trees.....I will fill in the trees closer to the end...because Im still working on the grass and foot path..... It will be a shepherd ...farmer.... carrying a lamb....and others that will follow him.... Misha wants to be on mommys shoulder today....so every now and then hes interested in what Im doing.... They are very intelligent birds.... He loves whistling to the music that I listen to while painting....knows quite a few tunes and sings with it..... Sometimes his bored...then Ill give him old brushes to chew on and play with.. and yes...they are clean...and remember I dont paint with oils...so its safe for him... ...His cage is here in the studio....where Im most of the time of day..... over weekends when I dont paint so much ...his with us around the house.... he loves to walk around in the house (no dog - I have 3) or the cat comes near him...in our house nature is in reverse...the bird rules every other pet... so the cat is scarred of him.... and the dogs are scarred of the cat...haha..so no worries about the other animals hurting him.... he will rather bite them...a real bully!! ....) and his favorite room is the bathroom...dont ask me why.... he just loves it there...sitting next to the pedestal of the basin.... doing nothing.... sometimes sleeping.....or haha...as Ive said...chewing on something...like the carpet ..If I dont pick it up before letting him out of his cage.... there are days that I keep him for longer times in the cage.... just to have a more peaceful painting session without worrying where he is...and whats he doing now...... Youve got to keep in mind where he is...all the time......because its true what they say about African Greys....they are very destructive and loud...but I love him...yes! Ive lost a pair of shoes in the past....which was in the bathroom.... and mister strolled casually towards the bathroom....and mommy forgot about him....and the minute Ive realized that hes way too quiet.... it was too late...yip...just like a two year old little child... always on the move...always seeking to chew on something....loves fruit, potato...pasta... and meat...such as chicken and biltong (dried meat) as treats....for he eats actually seeds... He loves to nibble on my ears, or a few hair strands..... but all in a cuddle and loving way...he kisses a lot.... just like how he wants to kiss me on the second photo...
