"...But wait for the promise of the father which saith he,ye have heard of me....but ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me" [Acts 1:4,8] JESUS ascended to heaven and he left the earth more than 2000 years ago, in his words to the disciples he said for them to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit who would go forth with them to witness of him. Now,who is this Holy Spirit? Some folks think the Holy Spirit is a fresh air,or cold sensation in their bodies,some think its something that causes you to speak in tongues, some think its some smoke from heaven but the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God who is himself God. He is the God we have on earth today. He is exactly like JESUS,he loves like JESUS,he talks like JESUS,he has come to earth to continue the ministry of JESUS. He is no different from JESUS. JESUS when he walked the earth could only be at one plece at one time that is due to the limitation of the physical body but the Holy Spirit can be with someone in India and somebody in Botswana at the same time.This is why JESUS said it would be advantageous for him to go so that God the Holy Spirit ,the one who can be everywhere at the same time could come. The church for long has neglected the ministry of the Holy Spirit even though they claim to love JESUS. I think its because of lack of accurate teaching of the word about the Holy Spirit. He is the boss of the church today, he is the one we work with today. He is a spirit so we have to relate with him spiritually. We can not function with our senses and expect to have contact with him. Until the believer takes a definate decision to walk in the spirit his life will be limited because the Christian life is lived from the spirit realm.In that realm thats where you can hear God, thats where you can see what ordinary eyes cant see,thats where you see beyond the ordinary. This is Christianity,living from the spirit in the glory of God. The natural man can not understand the things of the spirit but we have an unction from the Holy One. With God at work in you like this ,what is that thing that can be impossible? JESUS said,the Holy Spirit is our helper but hey if your company sends you a helper who is more skilled than you are to work in your office then the man walks in and you give him a seat and you dont ask him for help as you continue with work,will the presence of that man be of benefit? Even though The Holy Spirit is the boss, he doesnt dictate how things should go until you ask him. Learn to recognise the Holy Spirit and you will cease to live an ordinary life.
