By Barbara Vancheri / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "Hoverla" Ukrainian American Film Festival kicked off last Saturday, October 5th at the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium, 650 Schenley Drive and will continue every Saturday through the month. A full-access festival pass is $50; regular admission, $10 per movie; admission to 5 and 7 p.m. movies on same day, $15; and admission for full-time students with valid IDs, free. Here is the schedule: October 5 at 7 p.m.: Festival kickoff, "Goodbye, Ukraine!" collection (Ukraine). Oct. 12 at 5 p.m.: "The Soviet Story" by Edvins Snore (Latvia). Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.: "Three Stories of Galicia" by Olha Onyshko and Sarah Farhat (USA). Oct. 19 at 5 p.m.: "Orange Winter" by Andrei Zagdansky (USA). Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.: "BOMZHI" by Andrej Fistravec (Slovenia). Oct. 26 at 5 p.m.: "Business as Usual" by Valentyn Vasyanovych (Ukraine). Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.: "Gaamer" by Oleg Sentsov (Ukraine).
