By Nick Laki ANO PALA IN THE RECENT TIMES PNGs newly appointed Attorney General is the man making 2 very unpopular decisons that putting the PNG on the brink of losing its credibility internationally. 1. When he was the Foreign Affairs minister, he brought in an Indonesia Fugitive to find safe haven in PNG when Indonesia was still searching for him. He maneavoured the system to change his name from TJoko tsandra to Joe Chan and a PNG passport was issues bearing the latter name. JOE CHAN was awarded by Cabinet a rice project in Central Province in the Rigo district that belongs to Pala and to date nothing has materialized about the project though PNG Government budgeted K14 million to it . 2. After 2 weeks or so in Attorney General office as a minister, he legitimized all Paul Paraka bills dating back to 2006. He did a knee-jack assessment thinking he would exonerate the Prime Minister from the current syndicate after PM failed many times at the Court a. However, he never knew that he was shooting the PM on the head. Firstly, he confirmed indirectly to the world that PM did sign the 2 letters that beared PMs signature which directed Finance dept for payment while PM has been trying with all terms and means to deny signing the letters. However the court needs to confirm if there was a court order restraining any payment to be made to Paul Paraka lawyers. Secondly, he didnt consider that the national court had the files and have ruled against PM couple of times. The judges may have been convinced by what has been submitted by ITFS and Police Fraud Squad. All in all, Ano Pala is a man with no credibility and integrity. He should not hold public office completely. Such leaders dont deserved to given ministerial portfolio or voted in at the first place.
