By the way, a fellow Facebook friend and buddhist sent me an message two days ago, accusing me of hiding behind the architect of reaganomics, excoriating me that that I do not reflect of a buddhist of 35 years. He did not listen to the video I sent, and does not know me in the least. This fellow is presumably in the Ukraine, and was offended that I sent him a video regarding an analysis of what was wrong about American foreign policy in the Ukraine by Paul Craig Roberts who was the former Asst. of Treasury, under Ronald Reagan. Roberts is a Phd. from University of Virginia and did post graduate work at Oxford. Mr. Roberts is totally offended by American foreign policy under both the Republicans and the Democrats. Despite my having no connection with the Republican Party, and finding their politics generally distasteful, I found Mr. Roberts comments quite cogent. Further, I doubt whether Mr. Roberts would be anxious to classify himself as either a Republican or Democrat at this point. What my former FB friends excoriating e-mail indicates to me, is just how anxious some people are to throw others into superficial and diminishing categories without knowing them or listening to them. It doesnt seem too hopeful if people judge each other by this kind of ignorant labeling without knowing them, hearing them, or having the least clue about what someone thought or said. Isnt this how we all get drowned in our own ignorance? - this labeling process without being willing to even listen? By the way, this guy wrote me this message letting me know I wasnt a real Buddhist, signed it love, and de-friended me immediately so he wouldnt have to deal with my reply. Hes in that very stressful situation in the Ukraine, apparently, and I can only hope he finds the ability in his life to be able to listen, instead of hit and run. P.S. I make no claims to walking on water.
