C&D: Meet our November A+ Teacher of the Month: Monique Douglas from Widewater Elementary School Fellow teacher, Cynthia Giffin, and her Third Grade Class submitted nominations for Mrs. Douglas. Cynthia had this to say about Mrs. Douglas, “This year I have had the pleasure of having our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Monique Douglas, co-teach reading in my third grade class. She is a phenomenal teacher! She comes in each morning with a smile on her face and an enthusiastic attitude that is contagious. She teaches lessons that are exciting and interactive for our students. She makes learning fun and meaningful. My students are encouraged and praised when answering questions or sharing their thoughts. The students in my class are very excited to nominate Mrs. Douglas as an A+ Teach of the Month. As a fellow teacher, I have learned a tremendous amount working with Mrs. Douglas throughout the years. She is resourceful and always has time to help teachers with their reading questions. She is tireless in contributing to the betterment of all students at Widewater. I have been inspired to be a better teacher by working with Mrs. Douglas.
