CA: Oakland - Paralegal - Golden State Warriors Paralegal - Golden State Warriors (Oakland, CA) About the Position This is a new position created in order to support the legal department’s core functions. The role requires a true generalist who can apply existing knowledge as well as acquire new skills to tackle a wide range of business related issues in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will report directly to the General Counsel. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, takes initiative, works well in a small team, and is excited about working in a professional sports and entertainment organization. This position is located at our practice facility and corporate headquarters in Oakland, CA. Key Responsibilities Work directly with the General Counsel in providing generalist support on GSW business initiatives Assist in the preparation and review of business contracts, including sponsorship agreements, seating licenses, arena event licenses, non-disclosure agreements, and sweepstakes/contest rules Review legal documents, process and respond to sensitive legal requests in a timely manner; handle highly sensitive information with highest level of discretion Provide day to day administrative duties, which may include, scheduling, filing, and other administrative tasks as assigned Required Experience & Skills This position requires a seasoned professional with energy, passion, entrepreneurial spirit and the following qualifications: 5+ years of professional legal experience, preferably with a law-firm and/or part of a corporate legal department Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal employees and external colleagues in the sports and entertainment, corporate, non-profit, education, government and community environments Maintain high ethical standards and professional integrity at all times Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate organizations to build credibility and generate support Exceptional oral and written communication skills ****Competitive compensation and benefits package provided**** Note: When you apply for this job online, you will be required to answer the following questions: 1.
