CABARLAH (north of #Toowoomba) – vegetation fire crews are fighting a large vegetation fire near Reushle Road. It has burnt 20 hectares since starting about midday and is now moving north. Firefighters have conducted property protection along Reushle Road, near about six homes. The areas between the New England Highway, Adams Road, Cooby Dam Road and Geham Road are likely to be affected by smoke. Motorists should drive to conditions. Residents should remain vigilant and keep doors and windows closed. If they suffer from a respiratory condition, they should also keep medication close by. There is no immediate threat to property but if residents are concerned they should call triple zero (000) immediately. This fire is not contained and is expected to burn into the evening.
