*CALL FOR PHOTOS FOR ELDERS & YOUTH CONFERENCE* “Get Up! Stand Up!” is this year’s theme. The theme calls to inspire and engage participants to elevate solutions they create to the challenges of our time by amplifying and utilizing our Native knowledge, cultures, and values. This is a movement to strengthen our advocacy for one another, empower our collective voice, and celebrate the vibrancy of who we are as indigenous peoples! We would like to invite anyone to submit photos to help us produce a special tribute to those who have worked tirelessly to contribute to the Native community. Vintage photos, and photos capturing their work are encouraged. Photo submissions will only be used for this special presentation that will be displayed at the 2014 Elders and Youth Conference on October 20, 2014 in Anchorage, AK at the Dena’ina Center.
