CALM AFTER THE STORM: I hope you all got through that night safe and sound. Lots of trees and branches down across the region but surprisingly no power outages reported. Winds peaked at 3.21am with sustained winds of 62kph and gusts of 80kph. Last nights storm behaved exactly as predicted and my forecasts were bang on. But storms are unpredictable, so dont expect this accuracy every time one hits ;-) A mixture of sun and some showers today; a welcome relief after last night. Similar days Tuesday and Wednesday. Some indication of things settling down later in the week and for the weekend, but it will be cold and we may well see our first frost during this period.
