***** CAN BE RESERVED ONLINE **** Despite her name Nanas hardly ready for the old age home! This pretty girl is a mere one year old and should be living the life of a carefree teen; running around, eating as much as possible and getting into mischief with her friends. Instead the only family she ever knew left her alone in a house full of strangers and poor, lost Nana is taking it very hard. Were told she spent much of her time indoors and was never exposed to children or socialized with other dogs so you can hardly blame her for being frightened by the hustle and bustle of a busy Care Center. Nana does want love and attention but its so hard to be brave and her mixed emotions are telegraphed through two wonderfully expressive ears...is it safe to trust this new human (one ear up) or will she betray me too (one ear down)? Shes not quite sure what to make of me or my offerings but comes when I call and politely sniffs, then rejects, some treats before allowing me to softly pet her head, all the while gazing up with those huge, pleading eyes of hers. A fine walker whos responsive, easy to handle and eager to hit the street, Nana seems housetrained and meets passing dogs with calm interest and the occasional vocal reprimand. Off-leash she shows no interest in toys and little interest in me, choosing instead to stay near the fence, sniffing the air, catching the street sounds and perhaps searching for the road back to a time when she was an energetic, ball-playing, bath-loving youngster living in a place where life made sense. Nana already has the fine looks, good heart and well-mannered potential to be a wonderful pet but theres a big ticket item not yet checked off her holiday wish list - a real forever home. In this season of giving, can you offer a lost little girl the best present of all?
