CCM REGIME:FROM A SOCIALIST PARTY TO A CORRUPT REGIME THAT IS SUPPRESSING DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN EAST AFRICA CCM regime is against decentralization of power in the United Republic of Tanzania{URT} amid the growing desire for more regional semiautonomous regions following the recent secession of Zanzibar islands that went unreported by the mainstream media here in Tanzania. The secession of Zanzibar from a union CCM regime is following the recent constitutional amendments that provides more power to the semiautonomous islands of Zanzibar in which the islands Representative Council provide more power to the local authorities and to the president of Zanzibar that undermine the power of the president of the United Republic of Tanzania and the union agencies. The CCM regime also is facing the pressure to accept the proposed constitutional opinions from the citizens of the URT as presented by the convened commission which represent the majority opinions over the proposed new constitutional drafting process. The emerging strong opposition coalition UKAWA which recently decided to pull out of the constitutional assemby amid the increase censorship from the CCM regime parliament speake. UKAWA coalition is now emerging to have majority support especially from many people in support of more decentralization of power and formation of new autonomous regions{provinces} governments as a means to provide more power to the people. CCM regime is fearing to accept the proposed bill because the bill will weaken the power of the party and the president over the state and the people. The current Contitution of the URT of 1977 gives more power to the CCM president making him a dictator with unlimited power and protecting the executive to a great extent that makes them to be above the law something that makes impossible the rule of law and limit the growing desire for more liberal and democratic state with respect human rights and rule of law with a with a well structured liberal economy to compete with the growing strong diversified liberal economies of neighbouring countries like Kenya and Rwanda which are making fast and positive steps in democracy and decentralization of the economy and political power to provincial governments . CCM regime is now spreading the propaganda that aim to turnish the image of the opposition coalition over their decision to pull out of the constitutional parliament recently amid the growing censorship over the members from the main opposition coalition who are very critique that the constitutional parliament should respect the decisions and opinions of the majority Tanzanians and not otherwise as presented by the convened commission of Warioba which collected the opinions from the citizens. Contrary to the proposed opinions the CCM regime is using threats and censorship to push for their new constitutional bill to be discussed by the constitutional parliament that is in favor of their interest and seem to be against the majority of many Tanzanians who are supporting more liberal and decentralized country with a clear rule of law and respect to human rights and international law.
