CCTV Released After Student Assaulted In Worcester CCTV Police in Worcester have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault on a student in the city centre. The teenager suffered serious head injuries in the incident, which took place on New Street at around 12.15am on Friday, 4 October. The victim, who is in his late teens, was coming out of Sin Nightclub when he was approached by another man who punched him to the face. This caused the victim to fall backwards and hit his head on the road. He then tried to get up but fell forwards, resulting in multiple head injuries, including a fractured skull. Detective Constable Craig Osborne from Worcester CID said: “We ran a witness appeal about this incident last week and since then, the victim has been discharged from hospital and is now at home recovering. “We are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as we believe he may be able to help us with our inquiries. “At this stage, we are unsure if he was involved in the incident, but it is important we identify him so we can eliminate him from our inquiries if necessary. “He could be a key witness and I would urge him or anyone who recognises the man to call us.” Anyone with information about this incident can contact Det Con Osborne on 0300 333 3000 quoting reference 8S 041013, or the anonymous charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
