CDA to do lane marking on all roads: Islamabad: July 02, 2013: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Nadeem Hassan Asif regarding marking of roads and roads safety in Islamabad here on Tuesday at CDA headquarters. This meeting was held to analyze the traffic flow and road marking on different roads in Islamabad. Member Planning and Design, Member Engineering, Director Markets and Roads Maintenance, Director Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning and SSP Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) also attended this meeting. Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif directed concerned formations to ensure road marking to improve the traffic flow and safety of road users. He said that comprehensive plan would be devised in consultation with all stakeholders. Chairman, CDA said that in first phase busy roads should be prioritized and road marking should be done in line with international standards in consultation with ITP. Chairman, CDA stressed that road marking will not only provide best traffic facilities to the residents of the federal capital but will also help in reducing road accidents.
