CENTRAL COMMITTEE CALL FOR SEPARATE MEETINGS The 25 members of the Central Committee that formed a quorum and suspended Acting President Guy Scott have called for an emergence meeting on saturday 22nd November 2014. The first Central Committee members, who are enjoying the support of 70 Members of Parliament among them 11 Cabinet Ministers, are expected to meet and follow up on their work in light of the circumstances. However the 12 that include Sylvia Masebo, Emmanuel Chenda and Wilbur Simusa, and unable to form a quorum as provided for under Article 58, have called for theirs on Sunday 23rd November 2014. This is because, Acting President Guy Scott will be is expected to attend to a traditional Ceremony in Mpika. Bridget Attanga, the new Acting Secretary General, insists that the suspension of Scott was null and void. But the members of the central Committee that suspended Scott are adamant that Scot remains suspended because a quorum was formed and the action was necessary because Scott has engaged in his numerous constitutional breaches and acts of gross indiscipline. Earlier attempts to break the impasse and stand off by Minister of Finance of Alexander Chikwanda, Inonge Wina, and Harry Kalaba, failed as Scott is said to have rebuffed their attempts.
