CFP: Pragmatic Aspects of Translation ”Translation, Quality, Costs”, Riga (Latvia) January 30-31, 2014 Venue: University of Latvia You are invited to submit abstracts for papers to be presented at the conference on the following topics: Quality translation, its criteria Translation and quality Translator’s (in)visibility, prestige Quality control Translation costs Objectivity of costs The link (or its absence) between costs and quality Market and institutional influence on costs and quality Quality in media, digital environment, audiovisual sphere, printed texts. Information for speakers • Papers are scheduled for 20 minutes including a possible discussion. • Symposium languages: English and Latvian (simultaneous interpretation will be provided). • No participation fee, but dinner participants will be asked to contribute 20 euros at the beginning of the conference. • Papers of the symposium will be published in the Proceedings. Style sheet will be provided during the conference.
