CHAMELEON SPORTS UPDATE (PART 2) I also get asked quite often - TopicsExpress

CHAMELEON SPORTS UPDATE (PART 2) I also get asked quite often about how to remove PadSkinz if someone wants to change colours again or turn their pads or gloves back to stock. As of the start of September, I have included removal instructions on my website under the “How To Apply PadSkinz” tab and also include it with the instructions with every purchase. It’s not hard to do but will require a little “elbow grease”. I would say that my biggest business issue right now is the lack of awareness of the product. The goalies that order PadSkinz are always 100% happy but I need to get the word out that this product exists. I’ve tried to post on some forums but many of my posts get deleted by the mods. I’ve got a Pinterest page and will soon have an Ebay page as well. I’m just a small company (only me) so my advertising budget is pretty small. However, as many of you know, Sara at PAW (protectiveathleticwear) has been carrying PadSkinz and now Goal Tec (goaltec.net) in Saskatchewan carries PadSkinz as well. I have 3 other hockey shops that are evaluating samples and I expect them to be ready to go soon, as they’re all very impressed so far. For anyone that’s not convinced about PadSkinz, the fact that Sara at PAW carries it should give you a pretty good indicator of its quality. I also wanted to make a point of talking about the many customers I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with over the past 3 months. We goalies have been known to be a bit flakey sometimes but it doesn’t take away from the good people we are. I have had well wishes, support, random acts of kindness thrown my way by various goalies since I took over. Customers and even people who are not customers have told me how great the company looks now and what a great job I’m doing. I wanted to say a special “thank you” to those of you who have contributed to the great comments I’ve received. You have made me feel proud and confident in the job I’m doing and I can’t thank you all enough. It’s hard when you take over a new company because you don’t always know if you’re doing things properly at first. With the encouragement of these people, I wake up confident every day that I’m doing things the right way. So what’s next for Chameleon Sports? Good question! This is a niche market product that I have, so to expand from there is difficult. I’ve just reached the point where I’m comfortable with the company and am now deciding what’s next. I’ve created enough inventory (PadSkinz are hand-made) and am starting to expand into stores. I know the material has other uses, I think the next step is figuring out what other markets it could be used for. So that’s about it for now. I hope this gives everyone a better idea of where I’m at with Chameleon Sports and where we’re headed. Thank you all for your continued support! Please keep the pics coming and for anyone who can post in a forum about us, please do! I really need you all to spread the word to other goalies (and goalie parents) that this solution exists and you don’t have to spend $1000+ on new gloves and pads to change the colours. As always, if anyone has questions or comments, please feel free to message me here or through email at [email protected]. STAY HUNGRY, MY PUCK EATING FRIENDS!
