#CHAN2014 President Zuma defends Bafana Bafana President Jacob Zuma has defended the South Africa team after their African Nations Championship group stage exit. The side of locally based players was called useless and a bunch of losers by the countrys sports minister Fikile Mbalula. Zuma told a South African radio station: The fact that the team lost, that doesnt mean anything as other teams lost as well. Some want the team disbanded. It has improved greatly and needs support. South Africa have failed to qualify for any tournament they have not hosted since 2008 Hosts South Africa were knocked out of the tournament after they lost 3-1 to Nigeria in Cape Town.(from BBC News)
