Dear AGCS Families: If you have never considered contacting your state senator or representative concerning charter school legislation, now would be a good time to start. The threats that are currently before us are the most formidable we have ever faced. To put it as plainly as possible, Senate Bill 1316 and House Bill 2138 *WILL CRIPPLE* bricks-and-mortar charter school s across our state. Over the course of the last few weeks, the momentum building behind this legislation has weakened. That is certainly good short-term news. However, these bills will inevitably return for a vote and frankly, we do not have very much time to express ourselves.
