CHELEM PROJECT UPDATE..The is built but still needs to be equipped.Due to me having cancer and a severe abdominal infection i am a little behind. I have been bringing things down slowly and will continue to do so..The young veterinarian i want to run the place is from Progreso but does not officially graduate until august..I will be down in august for the graduation and hope to get set up to start some basic work..But do to me being in India for most of september and in Spain and Portugal in october, it wont be until november that i can get down and hopefully get things really going..We are still working on the survey and hope to have it down by next month to start going from door to door..We are also working on an import/export license for veterinary supplies which will help a lot on cost..My non-profit and me personally have put in over 65,000.00 usd in to this project, so it will go on but finances are a concern and a factor..We really want to target street animals first and people who have the opportunity card that live in Chelem..Unlike what some people have implied i will make no money or get any benefit out of this program except to make me feel like i have made some small difference and possible have some data to publish that will convince people and government it makes more sense to deal with street animals verses killing them..While i may be rich on paper that has come from very hard work and dedication to what i believe in..Anyone can feel free to google me or talk to people who know me and i feel very comfortable with what you will find..I will continue to work to make the planet a better place for people and animals until i die and i wont be dieing rich..Money has no meaning to me except what i can do with it to help others.. YES, i am still an American..
