#CHRISTMAS: Happy #Monday! This weekend, I had a chance to go and spend some time with friends in Kimitsu, which is located in the Chiba Prefecture. It took about a 1.5 hour train ride out there, but it was well worth it. The train ride was quiet and enjoyable, and some spots actually reminded me of my hometown of Lexington, South Carolina! There are many farms out in Chiba, which is east of Tokyo and is actually a peninsula. It was wonderful to eat some awesome American Christmas food (and I had plenty to bring home to enjoy this coming week). This will be my first Christmas away from home, but Im so thankful for the friends I have out here to make this Christmas a special one. Im also thankful for the technology that we have in this day and age. I am part of a community group at Grace Harbor Project グレースハーバープロジェクト, and we meet virtually once a week through Google+ Hangouts (and occasionally as a group in person). Because I was out in Chiba, I wasnt able to dial in from home. However, we were able to all meet online, and I used simple 4G cell connection throughout the entire train ride for the Hangout without any issues or interruptions. Im so thankful that we can all stay together despite the distance that we have when it comes to location.
